Every day Ziggy takes Herm for a hike. At the dog park Ziggy gets exhausted chasing and playing with the other dogs. He takes a nap afterward.

window arch

There are 193 steps up to this arch but the view is worth the climb.

we made it!!!

This is the famous Delicate Arch. It's on Utah car license plates and lots of other places. It cannot be seen by car so we had to make the "strenuous" hike .

Whew!

At last - a log to sit upon! We hiked up to see the Delicate Aech, said to be 1 1/2 miles each way. But it was all up hill, mostly in the hot sun, in about 30K of wind with faster gusts on uneven terrain. We were tired!

Arches National Park, Moab, Utah

Incredible rock!

Mesa Arch

It's a short hike from the road in Canyonlands Natl. Park. Through the arch is seen the Colorado River canyon and the snowy LaSal mountains. Truly spectacular, as is everything here, near Moab!

Navajo site

Canyon de Chelly is an amazing 600 ft drop straight down from the plateau! A river (with water in it) flows through among the farms and ruins left by the ancestors of the native Navajos.
