HOT!

On Sunday we enjoyed being inside the house all afternoon! Cooked on the BBQ outside too. At night it went down to a mere 67 degrees. Whew!!!

Our oleander is in bloom and the mesquite tree has a lot of green leaves even though the "monsoons" have not yet begun.

Adlai courtyard

We moved to this motel for 2 nights after Sea Tern went into the yard. Had REAL beds, showers etc but it was dull - nothing was in motion anymore!

replacing hooks

The top bronze fasteners were nearly worn through on our staysail as they had rubbed on the stay (cable of stainless steel). A sailor's work is never done!!!!

He's right at the entrance to San Carlos, Sonora anchorage where we spent several days getting Sea Tern ready for storage.

sunrise arrival neaar San Carlos

We arrived at dawn to San carlos. The mountains on the left are called "Tetakawi", meaning goat teats (upside down,of course!)and can be seen for miles at sea.

dorado!

What great luck! We caught this hen dorado in about the middle of the Sea last Thursday while we were crossing from Santa Rosalia to San Carlos. We even were able to sail all of the way with a reef in the main , no genoa and staysail as there was plenty of wind on the beam. beam seas too, of course. Every meal since then has been fish!
